Our pastor, Rev. Dennis Wilson

Rev. Dennis W. Wilson is the very proud pastor of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Wilson has served in the ministry more than twenty years. He was called to the ministry in 1993 and was ordained as a minister in April 1994. He preached his first sermon on July 4, 1993.
He served as pastor of The New Star Baptist Church of Holly Grove from 1995 through 2010. He subsequently served as pastor of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church also in Holly Grove from 2010-2018.
Rev. Wilson’s service to the faith started early. He has served continuously in various positions in the Phillips, Lee, Monroe, and Desha Counties Baptist Association since his youth. He is a native of Holly Grove and the eighth of nine children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clemmie L. Wilson.
Rev. Wilson and his wife, Uyolanda have been married for 22 years. The Wilsons, long-time residents of Pine Bluff, have two children: Chandler (daughter) – a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Colby (son) – a freshman at the University of Central Arkansas.
Wilson is a graduate of Holly Grove High School and the University of Arkansas of Pine Bluff. He is a member and parliamentarian of the Delta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
